Albert Einstein autograph
A very nice Einstein autograph on a book plate. Einstein was born in the German Empire but moved to Switzerland in 1895, forsaking his German citizenship the following year. In 1901, he acquired Swill citizenship, which he kept for his entire life. In 1905, he was awarded a PhD byh the University of Zurich. In 1933, while Einstein was visiting the United States, Adolf Hitler came to power. Because of his Jewish background, Einstein did not return to Germany. He settled in the United States and became an American citizen in 1940. The autograph is in pen on a book plate, it is double matted to 11x14 with a photo and framed and ready to hang.
